Dirty Old Clown...

Horror-Clowns of the Revolution..
Dear Readers,
Although apparently the tour is over, life continues to provide a roller-coaster turn and tumble each day.
Here are some brief updates and photos about whats going on in Dooom Land.
Wazza is happily chugging around Vietnam with his beautiful mum Sylvia - there's some great photos on his facebook with a motorbike and lots of mud and mist.
In melbourne town, Cat and Mitch performed the last Caravan of Dooom show for the year at the Bohemian's Masquerade Ball. Of course no final show would be complete without something to up the ante a little in preview of the wicked stunts we have planned for the next year to come. And of course the always amazing Luke Kellet managed to capture exactly the right moment.

Wobbly!
That's right folks - 85 Kilo's, balanced on 1 foot, standing on 12 precious and fragile eggs, precariously wobbling atop 5 milkcrates. A Caravan of Dooom original right there - performed for the first time ever at the BOHO! It's funny - i'd been worried all day that something was going to go wrong - for the first time in a long time before a show, i was genuinly nervous - it's no mean feet (sorry) to keep your balance  without breaking the eggs (which would send you plummeting into an angular pile of hard plastic crates).
but no! That stunt was fine - everything went according to plan. Well, almost everything..

Ouch..
Previous to the big stunt, an old favourite went terribly wrong. I've performed this stunt hundreds of times, even putting the damn trap off on my privates, but this night, something was awry - the trap went off and slammed straight into my front teeth, knocking a bloody great chunk of them into the back of my throat! The video is great - i touch them with my lips, look annoyed, then attempt to keep talking before realising that the tooth is lodged in my pipes. I turn slightly mid sentence and with a hurumphing splutter send it flying out onto the carpeted stage, never to be seen again. My pretty boy days are over...

Moving on, Cat and I also performed at the opening of my father's new exhibition at 1000 Pound Bend, which went splendidly. Thanks to everyone who came out to support him and check out his amazing work..

If you missed it in the city, you can still catch the expanded show, with 70+ added drawings, at the Gipps St Gallery in Richmond, 27 Gipps st. Check it out!

Following that i've been hard at work spruiking for Moira Finucaine's Carnival of Mysteries show at the Arts Festival, and building the Sideshow area at the Village festival, which is now on in Edinburgh Gardens. Tonight is the Sideshow's last night folks, so if you haven't already been down to North Fitzroy to see whats on offer from a wild variety of local artists, then get down here to see and support it! As i've been telling people, you can get drunk in the park 365 days of the year - but tonight could be your only chance to see a miracle. That's right folks - the Sideshow is playing host not only to Andy Forbes (better known as Wacko of Wacko and Blotto)' Tent of Miracles, but we also have Mr. Julian Chappel presenting his Gherkin Games in the Marquee De Sideshow, and One Trick Pony presenting their second season of their debut work PEEP in a specially custom designed peepshow tent. Not to mention Porcelain Punch with their Travelling Medicine Show, and all the other interesting things going on. What are you Waiting for? Get down there and see some shows!

One Trick Pony
So folks, with all this great art, and hopefuly some great weather on our side, i'm sure we'll see you around like a rectangle at some point. Cat is off North, but i'm here in Melbourne - don't hesitate to come a calling if you're in need of a Rock n Roll horror clown or MC.
But till next we meet - have a ripping great Summer.
Vroooom!
Mad Love from the Future!
CAPTAIN RUIN
